Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own program.
Overview of the Week
This week we began a unit on Sport Stacking using Speed Stacks cups! Students were introduced to the sport with some fun activities that got students using the cups in creative ways. They also learned how to stack a Basic 3, which led into a 3-3, and a 3-3-3. Our students in grades 1-5 were also taught how to use a timing mat to see how fast they could upstack and downstack various cup formations using both hands. Cup Stacking promotes eye-hand coordination, right & left brain activation, ambidexterity, bilateratal coordination and much more. Learn more by visiting SPEEDSTACKS.COM (and they make great Christmas gifts)

Resources
I create a lot of my own content to use in my teaching (like the slide decks above). However, this week I also found some great resources from @kellidsmith and @physedreview Be sure to visit their YouTube channels for lots of great Sport Stacking activitites!
