Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week
We did it! Students completed our three week skating unit with a fun obstacle course where they got to skate around, under, in between, and through a variety of obstacles. All of our obstacles were presented in a "challenge by choice" format where students got to choose the obstacles they wanted to do or skip any they felt uncomfortable with. Our parent volunteers were once again out in full force this week helping kids get on and off their skates and safety gear. I truly appreciate the support of our PTO for funding this unit, all our volunteers who helped out, Reece Jedlicka (PE teacher at Heartland Elementary) who loaned us four of their gliders, and B&R Sports for supplying all the skates and safety gear.
Our Healthy Habits at Home challenge for final week of April focused on FUN! Students got to choose 2 things they like to do that were active and got their body moving.
