Hello, it's Mr. Graham!
I am starting my 23rd year of teaching Physical Education and fourth year at Williamsburg Elementary. I was recently named as Illinois' Elementary PE Teacher of the Year (2019) by the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. I am truly blessed to be working in a profession I love within a district that prides itself in a deep "tradition of excellence" in education.
In addition to teaching, I coach wrestling at Geneva Middle School South.
Professionally, I am very involved with my State Organization, IAHPERD. I serve on the Executive Board as the Social Media chair helping promote all the great things going on within the organization and around the #PhysEd world. I am also on the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment committee. I am the current President of the Northern District of IAHPERD and use that platform to further the profession by providing professional development and grant opportunities to 18 counties in Northern Illinois. Outside our State organization I serve on the Advisory Board for GOPHER Sport. I write blog posts, record podcasts, and host webinars on various PE-related topics for them.
I am an AVID fisherman and my personal interests include fishing the Fox River & other local ponds around the area, spending time with my family, DIY home improvement projects, following college wrestling, and presenting at PE workshops/conferences around the country.
I'm looking forward to another great year in P.E. I have lots of exciting things planned this year and can't wait to share my passion for getting and staying active with all of you!
