Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week
Another great week in P.E. thanks to all our volunteers who showed up to count jumps for our students during our culminating event of our jump rope unit! Students participated in our Jump Rope Ninjas activity where they jump a certain number of times in order to achieve the various colored belts. We also had other jumping activities for students to do that included long jump rope, a practice area, mini-trampolines, and some jump flags. We had a number of students reach the "black belt" level for their respective grade level. Congratulations on all the hard work from our students this week and a HUGE thank you to the PTO for helping organize all the volunteers that made our event a success!
Our final week of the month for our Healthy Habits at Home contest focused on FUN and students were challenged to do two different activities at home that they like and get their bodies moving. Be sure to return your sheets to school when you are finished so we can tally up the scores and announce the grade level winners next week!
