Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own program.
Overview of the Week
I gotta start off by giving our Williamsburg PTO a shoutout. They organized volunteers to come help me out in the gym the last two weeks while I was actively recovering from my recent knee surgery. I truly appreciate all the parents and grandparents that gave of their time to help me set up and tear down the equipment in between classes. I couldn't have done it without you...THANK YOU!
This week we wrapped up our soccer skills unit. Students were engaged in a variety of activities that focused on kicking, dribbling, and trapping. Our students were also exposed to the concepts of offense and defense in some small-sided gameplay. Our Healthy Habits at Home challenge focused on "Food" this week as students were challenged to make a fruit salad.
