Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week
Welcome back from Spring break! This week students worked on cooperative activities in both small and large groups. K-5 all did some form of the Pipeline Challenge and grades 2-5 also did Hula Hut Relays. Grade K-1 had a day with some hula hoop games that incorporated spatial awareness and locomotor skills.
We completed March's Healthy Habits at Home contest and the winners were: Kindergarten - Mrs. Murphy, 1st grade - Mrs. Rodgers, 2nd grade - Mrs. Towler, 3rd grade - Ms. Crawford, 4th grade - Mrs. Buchman, & 5th grade - Mrs. Frison. Congratulations to all our students! April's contest kicked off this week and it focused on fitness. Our challenge is to get outside and walk/jog for 15 minutes.

Next week we start our Roller Skating unit in P.E. and can use volunteers to help get skates and saftey gear on the kids! If you'd like to help out, click the graphic below. Also, if your student has a helmet at home, they can bring it to school for skating. Please label the helmet to avoid confusion. If they do now own a helmet, loaner helmets will be provided.
