Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week
Call it parkour, call it a ninja warrior obstacle course, our students called it "FUN!" This week our students got to participate in the "Creative Movers Obstacle Course" that featured 10 different obstacles using a variety of equipment. The obstacles zig-zagged through the gym as students worked to complete the course as many times as they could using basic functional fitness moves (running, leaping, jumping, crawling, balancing, climbing, etc...). On day 2, our 3rd-5th graders wore their Gopher FitStep Stream Bluetooth pedometers to track their activity levels on the course. Our Healthy Habits at Home challenge this week had a family focus. The challenge was to set aside one day to have a "family movie night."
