Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week
This week students learned about the cardiorespiratory system while traveling through a working model of the human heart! Students pretended to be blood cells and carried oxygenated or deoxygenated blood through an awesome obstacle course that duplicated the pathways the blood travels to/from the heart and lungs and around the body. Many students reported this week being their favorite thing we've done in PE all year! Our healthy habits at home challenge for this week focused on FITNESS with a jumping jack challenge.
