Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week
This week students participated in "Free Choice" activity stations. These days are typically some of the students' favorites as they get to be in charge of their learning. Students get to choose from a variety of options as to how THEY want to be active by doing the activities they enjoy most. Giving students ownership in the decision making process increases engagement and boosts activity levels! Several classes that had PE twice this week got to wear our FitStep Stream Bluetooth pedometers to measure the activity levels based on the activities they chose. This week's Healthy Habits at Home challenge focused on FUN and again, letting kids choose things they enjoy doing from the list below.
