Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week
This week and next week are shortened school weeks for us, so not all classes will receive PE twice a week. To help keep all classes on the same page in regards to the curriculum, I used some free choice activity stations to fill in the gaps. Students get to choose anything they like to do to be active from the options provided. They love being in charge of their learning and having that "ownership" in how they move. Days like these are some of they students' favorites. While working at the various stations, our 3rd-5th grade students were administered the first of four fitness assessments, the sit & reach test, which measures hamstring and lower back flexibility. Our Healthy Habit at Home for the week was to eat 3 different fruits from the list below.
