Welcome to Williamsburg Elementary Physical Education! My name is Mr. Graham and each week you can see the activities that our students were engaged in as well as many of the resources I used in my teaching. I put out these weekly posts for parents to see what their child is learning in PE as well as for other PE teachers to get ideas they can implement in their own programs.
Overview of the Week

Our skating unit kicked of in P.E. this week! Students were instructed on safety rules, how to get on/off equipment, how to get up from the floor, and stopping under control. It was great to have so many parents and grandparents volunteer to help get skates and safety gear on the students. I truly couldn't do this without their help! We purchased some new interlocking foam mat flooring to set up as a "slower" area where kids could stand up and balance easier. We also offered students the option of using a skating glider to help our newer skaters be successful. All in all, it was a great week on wheels!
We also wrapped up November's Healthy Habits at Home contest, so be sure to bring your completed sheets back to school by Tuesday, December 5th as we will be annoucing the winning classes on December 6th!

One more exciting announcement...Williamsburg students helped set a NEW Guinness World Record a couple weeks ago during our Sport Stacking unit! We joined with schools from all over the world to get 746,698 kids to set the record for "Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations" breaking the previous record of 737,863.
