This was our culminating week of bowling activities in PE. Students got to participate in a full-lane, 10-pin experience with iPad scoring! Students have been doing a great job establishing and following a bowling rotation based on the number of players in their group.
The app that we used was called "My Bowling Scorecard" and it was simple enough to navigate with first graders. They simply type their names in and then tap the number of pins that fall down...it's that easy.
Our kindergartners did a couple of rolling/bowling activities this week too. Our first activity was a large group game that focused on rolling the ball at single pins with the ability to guard your team's pins. Our second lesson this week, both Coach T and I were gone at the State PE Conference and the substitute played Partner Pin Pickup to reinforce the rolling/bowling skill and practice taking turns and sharing equipment with a partner.
