2015 Plunge Into Fitness is Reaching New Heights
Here's the scoop...
Kids accumulate 25 hours of physical activity and record it on a log sheet, signed by a parent. Teacher enters names of all students who completed the 25 hours in an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is then upload to your personalized Raging Waves website and you print out the free student tickets and distribute. It's that easy!
Over 2,000 teachers have registered to participate in this year’s Plunge Into Fitness program. From the Quad Cities to Merrillville, from Beloit to Springfield, this program is reaching students all across the region.
“This is a great sign to see,” stated Raging Waves General Manager Jeff Hansen, “as its more important than ever to keep our young children in a healthy lifestyle. When the weather starts to change, its uplifting to see kids outside playing compared to inside punching buttons on a controller.”
The Plunge Into Fitness program gives children in grades K-8 the chance to earn a free weekday ticket to Raging Waves. From February 16 to April 10, students need to participate in at least 30 minutes of physical exercise each day. Upon completion, a parent or guardian “signs off” on their fitness log. After completing the program, each child will have completed over 25 hours of physical fitness. The student then hands in their completed fitness log to their registered teacher for a voucher good for one free weekday ticket to Illinois’ Largest Waterpark.
Teachers that are interested in still participating in the program can register online at ragingwaves.com/plunge. The deadline for registration is 11:59pm on Saturday, February 14, 2015.
