What a great first week with students! I love the positive energy and excitement that goes along with starting a new school year. This week students reviewed and practiced the procedures and routines of the gym. We did this through some free choice station activities designed to keep kids active and provide small breaks in the action to interject some of the important things that help make our class run smoothly. (much better than sitting and listening to a list of do's and don'ts) We also talked briefly about the behavior management system I use called Class Dojo. While most of our parents are familiar with this, I thought I'd post a few FAQs to keep everyone informed: 1. If you are a new parent and want to receive your student's weekly behavior report from PE, you'll need to go to www.classdojo.com and create a FREE parent account. 2. If you already had an account from last year, you can continue to use that (same username and password.) 3. A secret code will be distributed to you on our Back to School Curriculum Night for you to enter into your account which will link you to your student. (we'll send it home if you cannot attend) 4. If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to contact me: mgraham@geneva304.org |
